This is me - Niki!
I'm sat on the side of Pen-y-ghent before the last climb to the summit. This is the first peak out of three and smallest.
The four of us set ourselves a challenge, to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, as described in the title this is a 25-mile hike over the three highest mountains in Yorkshire, this must be competed in 12 hours!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteHelen here, from the Three Peaks Challenge team. Just a quick note to say that we're off on our 3rd major training session of the year tomorrow morning. We'll be doing the harsh side of Whernside which is the quickest way up the beast and the route that we'll need to do on the big day. So tomorrow is about making sure we know the way and are prepared. It'll be an early start as rain is due around lunch time but sunny weather should see us to the top. The view is fantastic, being the highest of the three (just!) we'll be able to see the summits of the other two if the clouds are high enough. We'll also be able to add some more photos and maybe a story or two about our exploits!
